Meet The Team at Stretch Pilates



Larissa completed all STOTT Pilates courses and is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor on all STOTT Pilates equipment, including the Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair,
Larissa has attended and completed many management classes during her ownership of Stretch, including Canisius College’s Women in Business Program, Center for Entrepreneurial leadership through the University at Buffalo, Masterminds Entrepreneurial business group and is a board member of the Ruben Brown foundation.
Larissa’s vision is to see her clients walk around with perfect posture and no pain..

AMANDA (Instructor)

Amanda studied Exercise Science at the University at Buffalo for four years. She is in the process of becoming Balanced Body certified in Reformer and wants to continue getting certified in Chair, Cadillac and Barrels. She grew up in Rochester, New York before moving to Buffalo. She loves to stay active by playing sports and participating in outdoor activities, such as snowboarding. Amanda danced at New York Academy of Dance for 13 years before coming to college. Alongside dancing, she played soccer for the Greece Buccaneers and lacrosse for Greece Thunder for many years. After suffering an ankle injury during a soccer game, the rehabilitation process sparked her interest in becoming a physical therapist and hopes to pursue that dream in the future.


ELLEN (Instructor)

Ellen has been teaching Pilates since 1998.  She is a certified instructor and teacher-trainer with the Stott and Pilates Academy International Systems. A former professional dancer, Ellen has served on the staffs and faculties of Equinox Fitness Clubs in New York City and Chicago, Pilates on Fifth in New York City, Harmony Mind*Body*Fitness in Chicago, and Barnard College.  Ellen is happy to be back at Stretch having been part of the Stretch team while earning her master's degree at UB.


KELSEY (Instructor)


Kelsey grew up dancing in the Western New York area. She continued her training in dance through college and graduated with a B.F.A. from the University at Buffalo. While attending UB she suffered a back injury, which led to her practice in Pilates. She was able to strengthen and stabilize her core muscles, and with every session, saw an incredible improvement in her back. Kelsey believed in the value of Pilates and decided she would become a certified instructor to help others that are dealing with similar injuries. Her goal is to help every client reach their personal goals, while creating strength and longevity in every muscle!


SARAH (Instructor)



Sarah is currently a student at The University at Buffalo studying Theatre Performance. Acting, singing, and dance are a major part of Sarah’s background.  Her love and passion for fitness began at a young age. Sarah pays close attention to strengthening and lengthening lean muscles, and working to reduce fat and increase muscle mass. She does not focus strictly on the number on the scale.  She enjoys helping others through their weight loss journeys, as all clientele’s goals vary.

Sarah previously worked for JumpBunch Sports and Fitness, where she traveled to daycares and elementary schools, instilling the importance of physical fitness to young children.  Through Vitamin World, she received her certificate as a Nutritional Advisor.  She enjoys helping clientele with their meal plans and calorie intake, which is just as important as the workout itself.

Sarah completed her ZEN*GA Pilates certification through STOTT Pilates.  ZEN*GA is considered to be “the mindful movement”, a combination of yoga and Pilates, which focuses on flow of movement, breathing technique, and strengthening the fascia.

Outside of the studio, Sarah enjoys acting film work, directing and choreographing musicals, along with coaching cheerleading.  She is continuing to learn more about the body and is always finding ways to improve her workout regimen, aiming for the best possible results for herself and her clients.


MARLO (Instructor)


Marlo was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and is a 2015 grad of the University at Buffalo. She has a Bachelors in Exercise Science and is currently in the process of completing her Pilates training through Balanced Body. Marlo started her training here at Stretch as an intern to complete her degree in her last semester of school. Through her internship she has found her love for helping people feel better yet having a hard workout. She is also pursuing more education to receive her PHD in Physical Therapy. With her passion for physical therapy, Marlo finds the benefits in the assisted stretching that we offer here at Stretch. Marlo is our “go-to” girl when clients are extra tight and need a good stretch.
